The F-16's advanced Head's Up Display allows the pilot to acquire the aircraft's most important flight characteristic information at a glance rather than looking down into the cockpit losing sight of forward view. As callsign 'MiG-6', "Tazz" will join up with five other F-16C's from the 64th Aggressor Squadron as they engage the Blue Team over the Nellis Range Complex.

The Light Sport Aircraft industry has evolved immensely since it's official introduction in 2004.  With the inclusion of major manufacturers like Cessna, the LSA craze will continue and the dream of flight will become more easily available.<br />

Pelton holds a commercial pilot's license with instrument, multi-engine ratings and seaplane ratings. He also holds type ratings in several Cessna Citation business jets, including the Citation X, the world's fastest civil aviation airplane.

  • Prior to flight, pilots from the 64th Aggressor Squadron run down their individual checklists in the ready room. This pre-brief entails the discussion of the participant level training while the Blue Team holds their mass pre-brief held at Sutter Hall in the Red Flag Building. From here, pilots suit up and take to their aircraft to join the 80 to 100 others taking to the sky for one of two daily missions.

  • Old Middlegate Station is a historic landmark built sometime in the mid-1800's, according to the Churchill County Museum Association. There is no actual date recorded when the station was built. However, the first account of it by Great Basin explorer James Simpson was in 1859. The station was used as a Pony Express changing station in the late 1800's...Despite a destructive fire on October 2, 2006, the bar, about 50 miles from the air base, was saved along with the 127 dollar bills pinned to the ceiling by visiting Tomcat pilots. The eight names skirting the mural are Jungle, Guido, Charmin, Shooter, Powder, Finch, Puddles and Chick.
