About TVRPhotography
For the past 16 years, Tyson V. Rininger has
been covering all aspects of photography including corporate
portraiture, studio imagery, motorsports, aviation and more.
Tyson first began working as a contract photographer for
the Point Mugu Air Show while still in high school. In the
early '90's, he took up studio and location photography for
corporate clientele while expanding his aviation coverage
which has included becoming a contributing photographer and
web-designer for the California International Air Show, Salinas
since 1996. In 2001, Tyson was commissioned by the Monterey
Bay Blues Festival to create their 16th annual millennium
celebration poster and program cover. This was the first year
a photograph was used instead of a painting resulting in record
sales of signed and unsigned posters.
Currently, he is an assigned photographer for the International
Council of Air Shows (ICAS) as well as a contributing photographer
for Laguna Seca Raceway and the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Prior
assignments include coverage of helicopter operations aboard
a U.S. aircraft carrier and the first civilian spaceflight
(SpaceShipOne) for Air & Space Smithsonian, the U.S. Navy
Legacy Flight Program for the Department of Defense, the first
ever Joint Red Flag exercise at Nellis AFB for Combat Aircraft
magazine and the 100th Anniversary of Flight celebration in
Dayton, Ohio for the International Council of Air Shows. His
choice of vocation has been noted as being so unique that
Fox News aired an extensive interview in October 2004.
His photos and articles have been published in numerous magazines
including multiple covers for AirShows Magazine and World
Airshow News. Other publications he currently works with include
Air & Space Smithsonian, Aviation Week & Space Technology,
Aircraft Illustrated and Combat Aircraft Magazine, Makes & Models,
Loop, EAA and AOPA's family of publications, Flight Journal,
and others. Besides publications, many more of his images
have been used for advertising purposes by aviators, aircraft
manufacturers, aircraft supply centers, aviation brokers and
the world's top FBO's..
Tyson is currently an image provider for Check-6 Aviation
Photography and World Picture News. His publications include, “Red
Flag, Air Combat for the 20th Century” and “The
Art of Flight.” He is currently working on his next
book, "F-15 Eagle at War".
Recently Tyson joined photographer Ken James in the creation
of White Fox Media which assists individuals
and businesses in reaching a global market
for their media needs.
Besides photography, Tyson is also an accomplished author
having worked for globally distributed magazines and various
West Coast newspapers. His experience in graphic design has
led him to design T-shirts, pamphlets and posters and more
for many of the aforementioned clients.
Tyson operates a studio in Monterey, CA and spends 1/3 of
the year on the road working with clients on location.
